Foundations of Matter Wave Optics, FOMO, was founded in 2010 and has become the largest and most relevant international conference in matter-wave interferometry, with a focus on the foundations of physics and precision quantum metrology. This year it was organized by Wolf von Klitzing at the Orthodox Academy in Kolymvari, close to Chania, Crete. The meeting offered outstanding science, joyful colleagues from all over the world, gorgeous weather and food and a magnificent view over the mediterranean sea.
