iMEQ is a joint venture between the groups around Markus Arndt (UNIVIE, coordinating), Tracy Northup (UIBK) and Roland Wester (UIBK). They join forces to explore new mass and complexity regimes in nanoparticle cooling, supported by ion trap technologies.
Collaborative research is a key motivation of the Cluster of Excellence. As of today, the Austrian quantum community boasts around 60 faculty members at six partner institutions across the entire country.
Jointly the look proudly back onto more than 30 ERC and 20 FWF excellence grants.
